    On the afternoon of November 3, the opening ceremony of the second Huairou Forum co-sponsored by Peking University and Beijing Science and Technology Association was held at Sunrise Oriental Hotel in Huairou District.

    In her speech, Wang Zhizhen combined several "short stories" from her own decades of scientific research experience to show the tremendous changes in China's scientific research conditions, which deeply touched and inspired the young delegates at the meeting. In the 1970s and 1980s, laboratory equipment was scarce, and it often took a week or ten days to make an appointment for an experiment. In the 1990s, relatively large instruments began to be introduced, and common platforms were gradually established, and experimental conditions and work efficiency were fundamentally improved. The 13th Five-Year Plan began the national construction of large scientific facilities. From the lack of conventional instruments to today's independent establishment of large scientific facilities, Zhizhen Wang is deeply proud and proud of the great improvement of the scientific research conditions and equipment manufacturing level of the motherland, and also encourages the young scientists present here to cherish the good time of the current new era and assume the era of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Zhizhen Wang pointed out that imaging facilities can gather talents, gather teams, give full play to the vitality of scientific research equipment, and contribute great strength to China's scientific and technological innovation. She fully affirmed the measures taken by imaging facilities to collect early bird projects for the whole country, build science art galleries, strengthen science popularization for primary and middle school students, and create a scientific research atmosphere with scientific innovative thinking and rich in art and culture.     In the main report session of the forum, more than 10 academician experts, including Academician Baoguo Jiang, Academician Jiancheng Fang, Academician Lin Lu and Academician Jacques Souquet of the French Academy of Sciences, gave keynote speeches and reported scientific frontiers and latest research achievements. Academician Jizong Zhao, Professor Liangyi Chen and Professor Yujie Sun chaired three round tables respectively, inviting scientists, clinicians and entrepreneurs to carry out high-end dialogues, demonstrate expert wisdom and seek cooperation and development.
