Recently, Beijing Municipal Commission of Education announced the list of the latest batch of excellent postgraduate instructor teams, and Academician Cheng Heping's team at the National Biomedical Imaging Center was awarded the title of "Beijing Outstanding Postgraduate Instructor Teams". The team consists of 10 professors, including Cheng Heping, Sun Yujie, Ren Qiuzhi, Chen Liangyi, Xipeng, Gao Ning, Mao Yudong, Dong Bin, Zhang Xiuqin,andLuo Jincai. The team has a total of 2 instructors from Peking University. in total, two instructor teams from Peking University were honored as Beijing Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor Teams.

Academician Cheng Heping's team, relying on the construction of the National Major Science and Technology Infrastructure for Multimodal Cross-Scale Biomedical Imaging, focuses on biomedical imaging, explores the new paradigm of organized scientific research, promotes the construction of the frontier interdisciplinary discipline of "Imaging-omics", and cultivates innovative talents of "Big Science" and "Big Science" of life. We will also promote the construction of frontier cross-disciplines in "imaging-omics", cultivate innovative talents in "big science" and "new engineering" and "new medical science". Promoting the spirit of science and pragmatism, the team cultivates graduate students to emphasize practice and innovation, and to establish the spirit of pursuing truth and excellence in scientific research and innovation.

Currently, the team has evolved into a distinguished scientific research group, recognized internationally for its influential contributions and robust interdisciplinary synergy, and the students trained by the team have published a number of high-level papers in international top-tier academic journals, such as Nature, Cell, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Methods, Nature Communications, etc. The team has received a number of awards and honors, such as the Ministry of Education's National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award, Bei Shizhang Award for Young Biophysicists, Top Ten Progresses in Optics, National Scholarships, Presidential Scholarships of Peking University, Three Good Students, and Outstanding Graduates, etc., and a number of students have been awarded with the Outstanding Young Persons (Overseas) Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

In the future, the team will rely on the construction and operation of imaging facilities, and pay more attention to cultivating graduate students' academic innovation ability and practical innovation abilities through the integration of science and education and the combination of industry and education. The awarding of the title of Beijing Outstanding Graduate Student Supervisory Teacher Team is an affirmation of the work of Academician Cheng Heping's team in cultivating graduate students in the field of biomedical engineering, and it will also inspire the team to continue to make greater contributions to the cultivation of outstanding talents in this field.
