As an emerging interdisciplinary field, biological imaging is driving the progress of life science and medical research at a revolutionary pace. We are committed to integrating advanced technologies in organic synthesis, spectroscopy, polymer chemistry and chemical biology from a molecular perspective to develop a new generation of imaging probes based on small molecules, polymers and biomacromolecules, providing handy and even indispensable tools for research in biophysics, cell biology, physiology and metabolism, and ultimately illuminating the way for new drug development.
The uniqueness of our research lies in: 1. Based on chemical principles, tailored small molecules, polymers and biomacromolecules probes as solutions for the pain points in imaging and other fields; 2. Relying on the cooperation platform of Institute of Molecular Medicine and Joint Center for Life Sciences, we combine modern molecular technology with the most cutting-edge life science problems; 3. We provide training in chemistry and biotechnology, interdisciplinary cooperation experience and problem solver's thinking mode.
The long-term goal of the laboratory is to practice the concept of "integrated innovation" and the strategy of "from molecule to human", by developing diverse, precise and exquisite molecular tools, to promote all aspects of basic research in life sciences and to contribute to the benefit of human health.
