- Dr. Ma's research interests include micro-nano laser physics and devices, interaction between light and matter, and non-Hermite and topological photonics. His publications include 3 papers in Nature/Science, 8 papers in Nature Physics/Materials/Nanotechnology, and 4 papers in Nature Communications/Science Advances/PRL, which have been cited more than 8900 times. His research results have been selected as the 2018 Physics Annual Key Results of American Physical Society, the 2018 Top 10 Progress in Chinese Optics, the 2020 Top 10 Progress in Chinese Optics, the 2020 Top 10 Progress in Chinese Semiconductor Research, and the 2020 Top 100 Academic Papers with the Most International Influence in China. He has won the Outstanding Young Scientist Award in Nanophotonics, Wang Xuan Young Scholar Award, the National 100 Excellent PhD Thesis Award, and the Peking University Outstanding PhD Thesis Advisor Award for three consecutive years from 2019 to 2021. He has made more than 90 invited presentations at APS March Meeting, CLEO, Nature Conference, Gordon Research Conference and other academic conferences.
