  • Assistant Professor, Boya Young Scholar
  • Institute of Medical Technology, Peking University Health Science Center/ National Biomedical Imaging Center, College of Future Technology, Peking University (Courtesy Appointment)
  • 个人简介
The laboratory is dedicated to innovative research in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. Its core research areas include imaging physics and reconstruction algorithms, quantitative pharmacokinetic modeling and parametric imaging, dosimetry of radiopharmaceuticals and optimization of integrated theranostic strategies, and artificial intelligence-driven multimodal image analysis and clinical decision support. Over the past decade, as a key contributing researcher, Dr. Xie has participated in a series of major research projects, including the development of a small-animal four-modality molecular imaging system, the world’s first total-body PET imaging system (EXPLORER), a dedicated brain PET system for the U.S. BRAIN Initiative (NeuroEXPLORER), and the world’s first total-body high-resolution PET/CT imaging system with DOI capability.

To date, he has published more than 40 papers in leading international SCI journals, including Nature Communications, IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, and Medical Image Analysis, and has delivered more than 10 oral presentations at major international conferences such as SNMMI, EANM, IEEE NSS/MIC, and Fully 3D. He also holds more than 10 patents, including 3 U.S. patents. His work has been featured and reported by major scientific media outlets, including Science (AAAS), Nature News, and NIH.

Under his supervision, students have received one National Natural Science Foundation Youth Student Basic Research Project award (doctoral student) and two Beijing Natural Science Foundation “Qiyan” awards (undergraduate students). Two students from the group were recognized as “Outstanding Graduates of Beijing,” and one student received the “Outstanding Undergraduate Thesis Award of Peking University.”
